The photo was taken at the edge of Mill Lake near the water over flow. Photography use to be something I was banned from.
My family went through a trauma that had us one step away from homelessness and fearing for my daughter’s life. During this time I was given a second hand camera and through that camera I was taught to focus on the beauty in the ashes of life and that beauty started appearing in the photo”s I was taking. Circumstances did not change but how I viewed them was being transformed.
