On a walk about Willband Creek Park, I spotted these swans out on the water. Just as I was close enough to get a shot, they took off in flight. Here they are “walking” on the water, just getting into the air. So strong and majestic.
This was taken on my daughter’s birthday last year in October. It was in the evening and the water was smooth like glass as we rode the current down river.
The best way to explore Sumas Mt is to take the Centennial Trail. This trail was made to mark the 100th birthday of Canada in 1967, the year I was born. Maybe that is why this trail is so special to me.
This is my favourite spot on Sumas Mountain. The peaceful waters of Chadsey Lake have brought calm to my soul many times. Nestled in the shoulder of the mountain, it is mystical in the mist.
