Fresh Spring Rose

The first roses were beginning to bloom in Abbotsford when I came upon this beauty right after an early morning rain.

Hiding Squirrel

This guy would sneak on to my bird feeder and when I came out he take off, hide in the tree and wait for me to leave.

Copper Sundown at Hatzic Lake

Driving home on Shook Road which crosses Hatzic Island I noticed a very beautifully coloured sunset in progress. It was especially perfect in one spot. So I hurried home, grabbed my camera gear and hurried back to the ‘magic’ spot. I had never seen a sunset coloured like this one – never. I parked the car and had to scurry down a blackberry infested bank to get to the shore where the perfect shot lay waiting for me. I took a couple of photos but this one looked the best. Within what seemed a couple of minutes the copper colours of the sunset were gone. I was in the right place at the right time because I have never seen one like it since.
